Under sea breezes and live music, Patrick Li, a hedge fund manager, was enjoying some snacks with a glass of craft beer on a relaxing Saturday afternoon at the Central Harbourfront.
With his wife carrying the toddler, Li appreciated the development of local brewed beers over the past few years. “I have been to this event for three times, I can see an increase in the variety of local craft beers,” he said.
This came as Beertopia, the largest craft beer festival in Hong Kong, was organised over October 9 and 10. It was entering the fourth year since its launch in 2012. This year’s event was brought to Central Harbourfront for the very first time. According to its official website, there were 45 local craft beers featuring at the festival.
